A Loose Feedback Loop (Members Newsletter)

Why a loose feedback loop is just another way of saying 'better, more rigorous trial and error'.

A corollary to this is to read ‘lessons learnt’ essays and Twitter threads with a discount applied; very often the lessons the author learns about their experiences aren’t the same things they would say they learned years afterwards.

Of course, as a reader, you have one additional benefit: you may a) pay special attention to the narrative, and b) see if the lessons are the right ones, which is surprisingly easy if you collect and read across many other stories of failure.
