This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://commoncog.com/creating-training-programs/

So I reached out to the hosts of the Naturalistic Decision Making podcast last week, asking them if they could give me any pointers to principles or guidelines for NDM style training programs.

They pointed me to Accelerated Expertise — Training for High Proficiency in a Complex World. I’ve just purchased it, and will likely summarise it in a future post in the Tacit Knowledge series.

The gist of it is that it was written for the Department of Defense, and focuses on compressing trial & error cycles.

I look forward to digging in.
